The Baron of Ballencrieff in Scotland

The Baron of Ballencrieff in Scotland

The Royal and Hashemite Order of the Pearl is the dynastic order of the Royal House of Sulu and the highest personal honour of the Royal Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo. The order is analogous to traditional dynastic orders of chivalry, and is in direct continuation from the ancient customs and distinctions of the Sultanate of Sulu and the Court of the Sultan.

His Royal Majesty Paduka Mahasari Al-Maulana Ampun Sultan Hadji Muedzul-Lail Tan Kiram ibni Almarhum Sultan Mohammad Mahakuttah Abdulla Kiram, The 35th Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo is the hereditary sovereign who possesses the fons honorum and is the Grand Sayyid (Grand Master) of the Royal Order.

We are privileged to have several distinguished members in the Royal Order from around the world. Among those that His Royal Majesty recently admitted as illustrious members of the Order was The Much Hon. Junaid Abbas Bhatti, the Baron of Ballencrieff in West Lothian, Scotland.

For his various life achievements including serving his fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in the United Kingdom and helping to establish the first Sharia-compliant bank in the country, the Baron of Ballencrieff was admitted as a Distinguished Companion in the Royal and Hashemite Order of the Pearl.

The Much Honoured Baron of Ballencrieff has also been recognized by the Right Honourable the Lord Lyon King of Arms, heraldic authority and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s representative in Scotland. The Baron was granted his own armorial achievements (coat of arms) by the Lord Lyon in 2007.
