The Sultanate of Sulu sponsors medical treatment for certain needy and deserving individuals at the Sulu Provincial Hospital who suffer from severe sickness/illness.
Among them is 13 year old Mikael who is suffering from a blood disorder called Thalassemia. He needs regular blood transfusion. His parents rely only from relatives and other compassionate persons. Many times he is not transfused because of the unavailability of funds. His elder sister has died from the same illness. The Sultanate hope’s to extend his life in its own little way.
