The Royal House of Sulu

Today on the 10th of May in the year 1974, the Office of the President of the Philippines under President Ferdinand Marcos issued Memorandum Order No. 427 confirming the coronation ceremony of Sultan Mohammad Mahakuttah Abdulla Kiram.

Royal invitations and programmes were sent to prominent people and government officials to witness this important event.

The ceremony was held on the 24th of May 1974 and at this same royal event, Datu Muedzul-Lail Tan Kiram, eldest son of Sultan Mahakuttah Kiram was crowned as Rajah Muda (Crown Prince) of the Sultanate of Sulu.
